We won but that is only the beginning! We faced an odd style of play but our tactics overwhelmed them. Here is the match broken down.

Round 1 (Caspian Border):

Defending: Our defense stopped them on the first objective! We did well against their odd style of attacking by holding down the entry points. All of our positions were spot on for defending the m-com, but we did have a weakness. We had zero coverage on the back side. The question becomes to we give up a man to watch it? Or do we experiment with tugs again watching that back corner and remaining in our current positions?

Attacking:
We were able to arm both objectives here. Off the bat from this match we saw that our real strengths are in attacking. The major thing I saw we need to work on here is what do we do when the two man team does not work? We were slow to getting the first objective here. What we need to remember to do is try and change our path we take as much as we can. Otherwise we are just telegraphing where we are going. As for other strategies we can always try compensating for larger forces on a side, just suppress that side and hope the other side gets around, or mix up teams for long range shooters to be against the long range defense. Besides that it all becomes more situational where we will have to take a second to draw a play on the spot. We can't limit ourselves to this 2 dimensional attack.

Round 2 (Kharg Island):

Defense: By far our best performance of the night. We found the strategy that I do believe is unbeatable if we stick to it and stay aware of grenades, helping your partner out when you see a nade close to them. We broke down a couple times in this defense allowing them to arm the first mcom only because it wasn't held on one side or the other. We have to stay in our spots, and when one side needs help have the designated person from the other side go to aid them. Besides that this was near perfection. At the second objective we had good defensive positions again covering a small area not allowing them in the mcom.

Attacking: They didn't learn much from us as we took both objectives with some ease. The first objective was executed perfectly. Once we armed the bomb everyone was in the same defense positions as the preceding round and they did not have a chance. The second objective could use a little work getting to, I believe I was shot gun this run and it didn't work well for me. I can either put a little more practice in shotguns or trust my rifle. Once armed however we had the correct positions to stop the disarm.

Round 3 (Damavand Peak):

Defense:
Once again we tried covering entry points, but this time it did not work as well. Mostly because of the C4 blowing more entrances, but also because we haven't put much thought in which entry points to cover there. So we need to note this for practice. The second objective worked much better. The two people covering the entry points in the m-com room, with two on the bottom slowing them down was perfect. The only thing that got them close was c4ing the back wall 3 times to get through it.

Attacking:
Our two man teams worked well here. Things to remember is that some of the best defense positions at the first mcom are right on the sides when you walk in the back there. So we should think of alternative entry points if we ever get shut down; ie. Vaulting wall or rpg a hole. The second objective was a lot like khargs first. Once we got in there and armed it, there was nothing getting past our defense.

I would really like to run a tactics practice where it is just us in our server, hopefully with d-ron and them on the other side all on skype, where we go over attack points for each map and what we do when the two man play isn't working. As for the defense tactics, we did best on Kharg Island. We need to focus on a much smaller area. As goose said last night, do we want to defend the whole map or two sets of stairs? The obvious choice is the two stairs. After learning all the attack points, we just need to reverse that and cover those entry points. We will funnel them into our defense. Are you guys interested in some tactic learning/teaching runs?

Yeah dude Totally interested in setting this up. Remember all great military minds have come up with the strategy of "Force your enemy into a small space and devastate them with great force" Remember too that it takes much less force in a small area than in that of a large area. That being Said I am with Goose here. We need to force our enemies to come to us so we don't have to worry about beating them on a one on one level but on a two vs one level. The stairs can only fit one guy at a time. as well as door frames.

Good Games tho guys we did a good job!
